What Firdaria are?

Being a prognosis method of the Medieval Astrology, Firdaria draw an outline of a person's life. They map different periods of life to different planets and thus define which theme will prevail during each of the periods.

The word 'Firdaria' is plural for 'Firdar', and the latter, although comes to us from Persian Astrology, has the same Greek origin as the English word 'period'.

What This Website is About?

The purpose of this website is to make the ancient Firdaria method available for everyone and to give you an opportunity to check whether it works for you and what benefits the knowledge of your Firdaria can bring you.

However, the scope of the website shall not be limited to Firdaria only. With time, other methods of the Medieval Astrology will be added, and perhaps the first of them will be the method of Profections.

An Example of Firdaria

One live example is better than many words, so let's see how Firdaria can be applied to the life of George W. Bush, the current President of the USA. His birth data and brief biography can be found at the Astrodatabank.com website. All quotations are taken from this website.

George W. Bush was born on the 6th of July 1946, at daytime. Some of the major events of his life are listed below.

He got married in 1977 and his wife Laura Welch was "a devout west Texas school librarian". It is also noted that "Laura was a huge influence on Bush. She inspired him to read and talk about the Bible...". Let's see how this part of George W. Bush's life is reflected by his Firdaria.

His Moon Firdar began on the 6th of July 1977. The Moon has a special role in his horoscope as it is located in the 3rd house of knowledge in close conjunction with the Great Benefactor Jupiter, the symbol for wisdom and God. It can be also noted that Bush's Sun and Saturn are located in the sign of Cancer and so are dependant on the Moon.

Bush's biography at Astrodatabank also states that under the influence of his wife "... in 1986 just after his 40th birthday, he quit drinking from one day to the next. He's learned to take hold of self-discipline, and to love his public life as a 'pol'".

It is not surprising then to find out that on the 6th of July 1986 his Saturn Firdar began. Saturn is the symbol for soberness and seriousness, it is very much politically minded. Remember, it is placed in Cancer, so strongly influenced by the Moon.

It looks like the major in the political career of George W. Bush began in 1998, when he became the governor of Texas. This happened soon after the beginning of his Jupiter Firdar on the 6th of July 1997. The influence of the Great Benefactor covers both his terms as a President of the USA and will continue until the 6th of July 2009.

As an aside note, there were also so called "wandering years" in George W. Bush's life, the years from 1968 to 1973, when he was doing many different things: "working on a senate campaign, trying out sales, as a youth advisor to inner-city kids, along with a high share of drinking and carousing". It is curious to note that these years fall under Mercury Firdar, and Mercury in the Bush's horoscope rules the 2nd house of money and is in close conjunction with Pluto.
