These are my predictions for the world for the astrological year beginning on 21 March 2007 and ending on 20 March 2008. There are a variety of New Years around the world; The Hindu, The Hebrew, the Chinese, the Gregorian. So which does the astrologer correctly use? The astrologer must use the exact time the Vernal Equinox begins. So the first day of spring is in actuality the Astrological New Year.

Astrology is merely a tool that we humans can use to guide our lives. Astrology does not take away free will. Astrology does not mean that we do not have freedom to chose our way or that we shouldn't do something because we are somehow predestined. Astrology merely points out certain energies that are in effect and shows how we may react to them, for good or bad. Just like a physician's diagnosis of a disease causes the patient to seek treatment, similarly astrology does the same.

Although much of what I have written below may sound negative – we must understand that it doesn't  have to be so. Humans, being created in the image of God,  have the power to change their lives and the world for the better. That is our purpose. To bring all of creation closer and closer to “perfection.” This often times proves impossible for the good-hearted individual, who seems overwhelmed by the difficulty of changing the world around them. But, there is also much positive to be read. It is becoming obvious that humanity is realizing that it in actuality is god-like. that we have the power to create and to destroy - and all of the travails of the world have pushed and will continue to push us into that realization; that we are all one;  that which affects one affects the other; and that “an eye for an eye blinds the entire world.”

Please forgive the note-like choppiness of the text below. I have tried to write the text as succinctly as possible. Also please understand than any financial advice is in no way meant to serve as a substitute for professional financial advice.  Also there may be repetition as some astrological themes predominate the four seasons and have relevancy to the season discussed. And finally, where I have mentioned the names of persons and countries, please understand that those entities have been named because they correspond to the signs named. I have no interest or any political agenda, and I maintain my own politically independent views.

The text below is basically divided into 5 parts. The predictions for the entire year are summed up in the first part that is read which begins with the spring equinox. The entry of the sun into Aries more or less sets the theme for the year which follows it. Then each other “Solar Ingress” sets the theme for that particular quarter or season. Finally there are discussions of the effects of eclipses. These sort of set sub themes within the major quarterly themes (if that makes sense to you). The Solar eclipses are the most powerful and can have an effect that is “felt” up to three months before and after the time of the eclipse. The solar eclipses degree can remain charged for years after the event, perhaps becoming stimulated by some “malefic” planet such as Mars or Saturn. The Lunar eclipse affects are much more short lived and usually last around a month.

I hope that this serves as a guide to all of those who read it. Its better to have an idea of something that might happen (even if doesn't happen exactly as stated) and be prepared for it than to be unprepared and blind sighted. To be honest I hope that none of the misfortunes listed below occur – and that only the beneficial ones do! I wish health, happiness, and prosperity to all!

World Predictions for 2007-2008 (21 March 2007 to 20 March 2008)

This year should be a good time for goods which are extracted from the ground. This would include commodities such as oil, gold, silver, platinum and almost any substance which is mined from within the earth. In matters of investment, these items should increase in value or price over the coming year. Thus astrology is telling us that precious metals and oil will continue to rise – at the time of my writing this article NYMEX Crude is just under US$60 per barrel.

This year will also demonstrate a strengthening of the common people against the power elite. In general this may indicate that in many countries the level of discontent of the “have nots”  will be precisely focused on the “haves.” Hopefully this will not include violence yet, astrology is telling us that in many countries it may. It seems that when a country is rife with corruption and crime the people, in acts of desperation, seek to harm those who they feel have profited  at the expense and misery of the lowest classes.

Interestingly  we should see a rise in groups that begin to protest or lobby for the general interest and welfare of the people in the countries of the world. So on the one hand you will have people who are acting more criminally (perhaps anarchically) and another group that seems to want to get their needs known in a more democratic manner.  For instance, this activity may manifest itself by including organizations such as labor unions or even political activist groups that wish to exert influence over their elected officials. Also, these activist groups will protest the discrepancy between the upper class of society and those of the middle and lower classes. There will appear heroic people who will champion some cause, on behalf of the people and for their good. This of course will lead to martyrs.

In general the population of the world  will rise as the birthrate will continue to be healthy in many parts of the world. Perhaps due to the stresses that the people are feeling, particularly the youth, there will be a dramatic increase in pleasure seeking. This may include all manner of “healthy” diversions – such as an interest in sports and such – but more precisely it seems to indicate that the people of the world will seek relief through negative escapism by abusing drugs and alcohol.

It seems that society around the world is stressed nearly to the breaking point. Everyone feels the negative vibes. Everyone will seem to be unhappy, from children to the aged. I would guess that as the consciousness of humanity is increasing, many people throughout the world feel “the bad vibes” that seem to be present everywhere. These “bad vibes” are indicative of a world were ignorance and selfishness seem to predominate the status quo. The majority of humanity being helpless to make a change on their own will no doubt revert to this “negative escapism” in order to assuage their discomfort with their lot in life.

This is not a wholly fortunate time for organized religion. Religion in its current state has become outmoded to the needs of the modern man and woman, and as such the people will begin to “lose faith” with what they have come to know as “their” religion. They will ask what is it it about their religion that is relevant to their lives, and how is it that it makes them a better person. Do their religions offer flexible definitions of morality? Are these dogmatic religions so stiff and unyielding  that the most zealous adherents even resort to violence to prove that their religion is the only relevant one in existence or that their way of thinking is the only one? God is God but religion has been created by man. Would “God” really teach hate? Religions will in a way have to reform themselves if they plan on being relevant to the needs of humanity in the coming years. Slowly and over the next five to six years the inhabitants of the world will become more awake as to the hypocrisy that has dragged the world only further into chaos.

The continuance of religious scandals will only cause more people to turn their backs on “organized religion” and seek a more universal spirituality. This will be a year where many philanthropic and humanitarian groups and individuals will seek to better the world and thankfully they should be successful in their endeavors. Many of these organizations will be successful in raising large amounts of money. Medical researchers will also benefit from these efforts. Contrary to the influence of many religious leaders, we may see the governments of the world enact more secular laws. The people will begin to be more interested in mysticism, astrology and occultism. Practices such as positive-thinking, meditation and yoga will become more popular. Religions that include these practices could become more popular.

In general, in the countries of the world the people will be burdened further by a higher cost of living and higher taxes. On a national, corporate, and individual level spending will be high, and the debt of these groups will begin to reach crisis proportions. It is possible that we may be reaching what “The Economist” called the “Credit Bubble.” A point where the banks of the world have overextended credit to such an extent that the credit system itself will implode in a sense. If you think about it, capitalism in its original sense is nearly dead. If anything capitalism has been replaced by “credit-alism.” Nations even have credit scores today. Countries, corporations, and individuals are only as credit worthy as a grade created by some arbitrary formula. Imagine that there was a time when one's word and a handshake were good enough for a low-interest loan – and the person on the other end of the loan knew, almost instinctively, not to let you borrow an amount that was more that you could repay. This is to be contrasted with modern credit which is essentially a form of inescapable usury.

This year will not be a very favorable time for marriage, as infidelity will be high. It is as though the people are redefining what the definition of marriage is. Is it a true bond of love, or is it that one partner seems to own the other? Marriage may also be another “institution” that like religion will have to be redefined for the modern age.

The leaders of the world will be very unpopular with their constituents. It is as though the people who are ruled by them see through the machinations and the lies they tell. An example of this is how a candidate will make promises but never really act on his promise once his constituents vote for him and he/she gained the power that he/she longed.  For instance, in the countries of the world ,will governments serve the needs of the people or seek to enrichen themselves and the corporations who helped them into power? It seems that all over the world the needs of the corporation come before the need of the individual. The argument for this is that the corporation is more important because it employs individuals. Yet it would seem humane and logical for the government to address the needs of the individual first. This becomes very important when the government is deciding legislation that deals with topics such as wages, retirement, health care, the environment , and yes even wars.

The people may begin to rebel against this corporatism (as mentioned previously) by forming organizations which are pro-democracy or anti-tax, etc. As a result of these efforts by the people many leaders and bureaucrats may be forced from office. Contrary to this, you may have rulers who, in spite of criticisms of their people, begin to act autocratically and dictatorially and in a manner opposite the needs of their people.   For a reason why, just examine how many politicians find employment as consultants and  members of corporate boards once they have finished their political careers.

Internationally, this will be a time of much violence and much crime. There exists the possibility of the death of rulers of Leo countries (some of these are listed below in the eclipse section) or rulers of countries who have Leo sun or rising signs [They include George W. Bush(Leo rising), Fidel Castro(Leo sun), Hugo Chavez(Leo sun), Romano Prodi(Leo sun), Felipe Calderon(Leo sun), Pervez Musharraf (Leo Sun), et al].

Politics around the world within countries and between countries will seem very chaotic and frenetic. The legislatures around the world may promote radical new legislation to solve the problems that face their countries. There exists the strong possibility of the resignations of rulers around the world, as the people of many countries will be very unhappy with their performance. This is almost like a global French Revolution – without the guillotine. In this case the new “Monarchies” are the corporate - governmental marriage which seem to oppress the people through their stifling ambition. In general, for this reason the people will continue to feel oppressed by their governments.

Many parliaments and leaders of the world may act hastily which could eventually lead to disastrous results. For instance they may not think things thoroughly, and as a consequence maybe they will wish that they had “left sleeping dogs lie.” This is all the more relevant in a world that is nearly at war and the slightest misstep could cascade towards absolute chaos.  On a positive note, there will be attempts to solve the problems of the world in a diplomatic manner but unfortunately these may not be completely fortunate.

Around the world there will be discontent and corruption within the military and police forces of the nations of the world. Contrary to this, we should see the rise of anarchic or socialistic movements within countries affected by such executive corruption (as mentioned earlier).  Through this a good number of scandals may become known to the people. In almost every nation of the world it would seem that the opposition party to the one in power will be most popular with the people. There will be an increase in socialism and ideas that redistribute wealth will increase around the world. Governments will also manipulate their people through the media even in democratic countries.

Throughout the year their exists the chance that diseases will spread or become pandemic around the world or in certain regions. These diseases include: pulmonary diseases, mental illnesses(see below), heart, breast diseases, and sexually transmitted diseases. Throughout the astrological year their will be much concern about the treatment of prisoners, and the quality of health care and hospitals or even the quality of medical care that the people of the world receive. This could be as a direct result of the Abu-Ghraib scandal or a restructuring of health care systems of countries to better meet the needs of an aging population. Around the world deaths will increase due to the previously mentioned diseases. Perhaps the baby-boomers will also begin to pass away from old age.

It will be a time of much scandals and conspiracies. It may prove to be a very negative time for the stock markets of the world. This could be due not only a worsening of fiscal conditions within powerhouse countries but also due to investors seeking to put their money in more stable assets such as precious metals (as mentioned above); it could also be due to retirees who will begin to draw their retirement income from the money they have invested over the years in the stock market. There exists the possibility that many financial scandals may come to light and that there may be failures of large banks and financial houses – some perhaps due to dishonest financial arrangements. There could be dramatic fluctuations in the values of currencies. I would not be surprised if exotic investment instruments such as  hedge funds, derivatives, and  real estate investment trusts (REIT) run into some sort of trouble.

This could be a time of accidents through rail and aviation. Even though the markets may not perform well, there is a possibility that the markets are in a way manipulated to maintain artificial levels, not only by large financial houses but also by governments. There will not be much success in trying to better the needs of the world except for the actions of activists which bring attention to those parts of the world most in need of help. In general it will be a continuation of the same old thing.

There will continue to exist a sort of governmental manipulation over the people as though the people can't clearly see what their governments are doing. Throughout this time as stated earlier governments will continue to increase their power over their people even if it involves manipulation or force. There will also be an increase in surveillance of governments over their own people at all cost. Their will also be an increase in nationalism and along with this comes its negative manifestations such as racism and xenophobia.

Their will be an increase in mental diseases such as anxieties, neuroses, and manias. Perhaps this could be why there will be such an increase in substance abuse as people try to self medicate. It seems that there will be a  continuation of the devaluing of the female and what is feminine. This will be a time of much sexual immorality involving things such as rape and even child abuse. It will seem as if the entire world is sad and depressed. As people around the world become more spiritual and in tuned with the definition of what is universally true versus dogmatically right people may have a hard time balancing their upper and lower natures and this of course is what may lead to such negative escapism.

Many countries will seek to become more self reliant which is of course contrary to the tenets of globalism. There will also be an increase in terrorism through out the world – terrorism being the most extreme manifestation of religious fundamentalism. There could be a shortage of oil due to violence perhaps including problems with offshore oil rigs.

Cancer Ingress 2007 (21 June 2007 to 23 September 2007 )

The weather will be unusually hot. There could be widespread droughts and the land in many regions will not produce much crops. There could be an unusually large number of forest fires around the world. There could also be accidents in mines and danger to homes and large habitations such as apartments and condominiums.

The people will continue to be upset with their rulers and there could be increases in rioting and public demonstrations. The people will be burdened by debt, though employment should be healthy throughout the world this summer.

The militaries of the world will be strong and able to accomplish their missions. The people will be unusually powerful with rulers listening to their needs. There will be many attempts to bring peace to afflicted parts of the world, but interestingly at the same time military operations will be increasing. Many nations of the world could be suffering from flashes of violence and crime at this time. There is a possibility that new wars are near. There could be problems with foreign exchange and foreign deficits. There will be high spending by many governments of the world. The attempts to bring peace to afflicted regions will not be successful. There will be unsuccessful treaties and international negotiations.

There will be trouble through the sea such as hurricanes, flooding, and shipwrecks. Businesses and banks will perform poorly during this time and as a result the stock markets of the world may depreciate – the currencies of the nations most affected may have their currencies fall in unison. There will be news of continued female abuse throughout the world.  There could be accidents relating to air and sea travel. Rulers of the world will see their powers increase (this was alluded to above). So there will  exist a division between the people who feel empowered and their leaders who feel they know what is best for them. This obviously will lead to “problems.” There may be new regulations that increase the spying by governments over their people and their finances. There may be much reform with regard to prisons and the treatment of prisoners (mentioned above). The people will generally be displeased with the way governments will seek to gain more powers for themselves.

Libra Ingress 2007 (23 September 2007 to 22 December 2007)

In general the people of the world should be more content during this autumn.  The world may be more peaceful than it has been up to now. Yet there may be some sudden impetus to war. Trade and revenue of business should be better at this time than it had been up to this time.

There may be court cases that are controversial because they involve issues of religion – this could be the same old and controversial topics such as the legality of abortion, same sex marriage, stem cell research, cloning and even euthanasia. There is a potential that certain bills that are signed into law may infringe or negate freedoms many had come to know as been rights given to them by their constitutions. There should be an increase in revenue in travel related businesses as travel should be good yet there is also the risk of accidents with regard to travel.

Riots, crime and military and police acts of brutality will be common throughout the world. There is also the possibility that some war which has been active will augment its purview. Interestingly, the people will be in support of such increased military action. Perhaps this new military action could be the result of some act of terrorism. The previously mentioned democratic movements will be unfortunate at this time, as governments will most likely be preoccupied with other matters.

This should be a fortunate time for shipping and all businesses involved with the sea. There could be a weakening of relationships among countries that were previously allies. There will be major cabinet changes (such as the resignations of senior officials) and much disagreements between houses of congress and parliaments around the world, yet the prime ministers or presidents involved should hold onto their power. These rulers will hold onto their power yet not be very popular among the people which they rule. There could be trouble with a Gemini country (USA, Armenia, Egypt) and a possibility of war because of this trouble.

Capricorn Ingress 2007 (22 December 2007 to 20 March 2008)

As crazy and unpopular as it may sound – there is a possibility of a draft being reinstated, or there may be news of how women and children are increasingly becoming involved in the world's conflicts as combatants. It is possible to hear news of medical breakthroughs – perhaps the cure for a previously mortal disease such as HIV. War will abound around the world. There will be much criticism of the ruling elite and the upper classes by the lower classes. A possibility of crimes directed towards governmental officials and world leaders. Some member of a well known royal family may pass away at this time. There will be an increase in unemployment possibly due to a collapse in the mortgage/real estate/construction industries.

There will be an increase in famine in the poorer parts of the world. There is the possibility of a recurrence of a cattle disease. The chance of a worldwide recession or depression is relatively strong around this winter. Much mental illness and crime among the people without regard to race, class, gender, or age. Trade will be poor among countries. Laws will be passed that will be extremely unpopular with the people. There is the possibility of strikes among the employees of transit and aviation sectors.

There may be scandals and the people may question the pay that elected officials receive. Women will be mistreated and a worsening of the quality and sanctity of the family. Banks and financial institutions may perform poorly around this time. Some new legislation regarding marriage may be passed at  this time perhaps the legalization of gay marriage? Sexually it will be a very free time.

There may be dramatic accidents that affect the military. There will be labor strikes and reports of military insubordination. There may be war or trouble with Cancer countries (nations of Africa, Paraguay, China).  There may be an epidemic illness perhaps an influenza or the spread of the “Bird flu”.  Terrorism, unfortunately, will be rampant. There will be much talk of war within many countries of the world. The military may be used in countries to control their own people as there may be trouble through democratic movements. There may be rulers who have fanatical aims and desires and will chose to exploit the their own people toward selfish ends.

There could be deaths of well known religious figures this winter. People will again doubt organized religion and the judicial and legislative processes of their own countries perhaps because of  more money and sex scandals.

There may also be scientific breakthroughs that bring about new forms of communication and transportation. There may be new and ingenious solutions proposed to end the world's problems but the question will be if the leaders of the world will allow them. There will be financial frauds at the governmental and corporate level and some previously democratic governments may begin to act dictatorially.

19 March 2007: 28 Pisces 07

Aviation accidents and problems through communication and short distance travel. Not a very lucky of popular time for the leaders of the world. Illnesses of a Pisces nature (addictions, mental illnesses). Poor agriculture. Problems with housing and the mortgage industry. Danger of earthquake or great misfortune in a Pisces country/city (Portugal, Galicia, Upper Egypt/ Jerusalem, Athens,) or a Leo one (France, Italy, Russia, Venezuela, Romania, Sicily, the former Czechoslovakia, Japan/Damascus, Los Angeles) because of Saturn's involovement.

11 September 2007: 18 Virgo 24

A time of famine, rebellion, and epidemics. Religious problems as described above. Major storms and sea disasters. Trouble with a Virgo Country (Greece, Croatia, Countries of Mesopotamia, Brazil, Turkey, northern Caribbean nations).

7 February 2008: 17 Aquarius 44

Famine, crime and earthquakes. Financial difficulties  - possibilities of bank failures.

Lunar Eclipses:

3 March 2007: 12 Virgo 59

Problems with religion, disaster at sea. Problems with Pisces (Portugal, Egypt) countries. Storms, accidents etc.

28 August 2007: 04 Pisces 45

Unfortunate for the government and leaders. People will suffer Pisces problems.  Poor crops and housing industry poor.
