These are my predictions for the USA for the astrological year beginning on 21 March 2007 and ending on 20 March 2008. There are a variety of New Years around the world; The Hindu, The Hebrew, the Chinese, the Gregorian. So which does the astrologer correctly use? The astrologer must use the exact time the Vernal Equinox begins. So the first day of spring is in actuality the Astrological New Year.

Astrology is merely a tool that we humans can use to guide our lives. Astrology does not take away free will. Astrology does not mean that we do not have freedom to chose our way or that we shouldn't do something because we are somehow predestined. Astrology merely points out certain energies that are in effect show how we may react to them, for good or bad. Just like a physician's diagnosis of a disease causes the patient to seek treatment, similarly astrology does the same.

Although much of what I have written below may sound negative – we must understand that it doesn't  have to be so. Humans, being created in the image of God,  have the power to change their lives and the world for the better. That is our purpose. To bring all of creation closer and closer to “perfection.” This often times this proves impossible for the good-hearted individual, who seems overwhelmed by the difficulty of changing the world around them. But, there is also much positive to be read. It is become obvious that humanity is realizing that it in actuality is god-like. that we have the power to create and to destroy - and all of the travails of the world have pushed and will continue to push us into that realization; that we are all one;  that which affects one affects the other; and that “an eye for an eye blinds the entire world.”

Please forgive the note-like choppiness of the text below. I have tried to write the text as succinctly as possible. Also please understand than any financial advice is in no way meant to serve as a substitute for professional financial advice.  Also there may be repetition as some astrological themes predominate the four seasons and have relevancy to the season discussed. And finally, where I have mentioned the names of persons and countries, please understand that those entities have been named because they correspond to the signs named. I have no interest or any political agenda, and I maintain my own politically independent views.

The text below is basically divided into 6 parts. The predictions for the entire year are summed up in the second part that is read which begins with the spring equinox and equally with the progression for the 231st birthday for the United States of America. The entry of sun into Aries more or less sets the theme for the year which follows it. Then each other “Solar Ingress” sets the theme for that particular quarter.  A progression, in general, describes how a person or in this case a country, has matured “astrologically” through the years it has been “alive.” It sums up what it has, and has yet to learn. Finally there are discussions of the effects of eclipses. These sort of set sub themes within the major quarterly themes (if that makes sense to you). The Solar eclipses are the most powerful and can have an effect that is “felt” up to three months before and after the time of the eclipse. The solar eclipses degree can remain charged for years after the event, perhaps becoming stimulated by some “malefic” planet such as Mars or Saturn. The Lunar eclipse effects are much more short lived and usually last around a month.

I hope that this serves as a guide to all of those who read it. Its better to have an idea of something that might happen (even if doesn't happen exactly as stated) and be prepared for it that to be unprepared and blind sighted. To be honest I hope that none of the misfortunes listed below occur – and that only the beneficial ones do! I wish health, happiness, and prosperity to all!

Predictions for the USA 2007-2008 (21 March 2007 to 20 March 2008)

Progression for 231st  birthday of the United States (2 July 2007 to 1 July  2008).

This serves as a general overview of what is to come, so this is more general than the Aries Ingress below. Thus we begin with the progression.

There will be much disagreement between the president and congress. Though this is characteristic when the congress and presidency are not of the same party. Foreign affairs will cause much worry and anxiety, the war on terrorism and in particular the war in Iraq and its resolution will be of utmost importance. The stock market will very likely head down during this time, due in large part to tax increases and the financial burden of the Iraq War. The economy would best be described as becoming stagflationary (high inflation and high unemployment) during this period. Women will continue to have a hard time: marriages will be unfortunate and the number of single moms will very likely continue to rise.  Banks and business will not be prosperous during this time. It is very possible that, the USA's economic power  is being checked by the influence of emerging powerhouses in particular China. The country will be filled with much energy, and military enlistment will continue. If anything the only viable sector within the economy will be that of the military.  The transportation sector will continue its transformation in a way and American car-makers should continue to lose market share.

It is my opinion that the USA will not “pull out” of its conflict in Iraq. Nor, are they likely to divide  Iraq into three sections controlled by the Shia, Sunni and Kurds. I believe that the war will widen. I believe that the United States would be very fearful of a sudden “retreat” from Iraq, only to have Iran and Syria influence Iraqi politics. This could be one of the very reasons why the USA has been so intent on pushing for a war with Iran – to stabilize the future Iraq – and to remove Iran from the “picture.”  The Iraq solution is now not an easy one. Unfortunately, it would seem that any option would lead to continued violence – unless all of the parties involved could come to a sane and mutual agreement that would bring peace. We are possibly facing a situation where the young men and women of the armed forces of the USA could be committed to battle for quite some time to come.

Financial matters will not at all be fortunate and there is a good possibility that there will be an increase in taxes.  The taxes that are increased will not be very popular, perhaps things like the marriage tax, and at a local level issues such as property taxes will continue to burden the middle class, etc. There may be a lot of complaints especially from corporate-America about the new tax reforms. As a result, corporate America may cut its employee rolls by laying off its workers.  The country should continue to be prosperous even though there will be an increase in taxes and a downturn in finances of the country. So at this time a severe depression is not likely, yet a recession during the beginning of 2008 is a possibility.

There will be anger directed at the political and financial elite of the country. Crime will be up with an increase in murders, suicides and rapes.  There could be problems with foreign countries with regard to our financial relationships with them. For example, our foreign trade deficit will reach a crisis point or maybe foreign countries may stop purchasing our treasury bonds, which finance our debt. This action by foreign countries, could be in retaliation for some protectionist measure that the USA might enact.  The American people's interests in spirituality and metaphysics should also increase.

In general, the American people will be feeling frustrated regardless of class. There could be much dissatisfaction among the people with religion and government continuing to be mixed with regard to legislation.  Continued war spending will damage the economy further. Yet as could be expected, corporations which are essentially “war profiteers” should continue to manipulate elected officials to their benefit. The upper class and corporations will continue to be the ones that benefit the most from new legislation. Although there will be new taxes, the new legislation is bound to be rife with loopholes for the rich and powerful.

There  is a possibility of the  death or illness of the president – though if anything It would seem that the president could suffer from a cardiac problem versus an attempt on his life. The people of the USA will become more interested in democratic activist groups. At the governmental level much double-dealing will happen behind the scenes.

The US progressed mars will go retrograde in the the next two years (April 2009 to July 2088). This could mean that any time around those dates the military could be used within the borders of the USA or perhaps even a military coup d'etat could occur within this country.

Aries Ingress 2007 (21 March 2007 to 21 June 2007)

The general well-being of the country should be good. Employment should be strong and the military should also be strong.  The country should be prosperous at this time, and there will be good trade. There will be favorable diplomacy and an increase in relationships with foreign countries.  Though there will be many disputes in congress causing trouble to and through legislation.  Possible trouble with legislation that involves education and children. This is a good time for the agriculture that is produced by the country. The country should be able to find peace with countries with which it had had a difficult time in the past. The people will still be upset due to the progress of the war.

The children, education and women should benefit from the new proposed legislation, these could be attempts to pass new education legislation such as “No Child Left Behind”. The entire country should be relatively content and it should be a spring of general prosperity. The movie theater and entertainment industries should be prosperous. Marriages will increase. Taxes will be increased and there will be a high rate of spending by the federal government. There will be much drug and alcohol abuse among the youth of this nation, and the upper class will be unhappy probably because of their “cost of living”.

There should be much peace and safety within the country. There could be an increase in crimes that affect women and children that make the news. Some famous celebrity may die at this time. Infant mortality within the US will increase. The government will be operating much more efficiently.  The military and police forces will also be administrated very effectively.  There could be continued problems to the government through democratic movements (as mentioned above).

There should be an increase in traveling and scientific research and education in general will benefit. There could be an increase in some infectious disease.  There could be much religious wrangling due to legislation that is proposed in congress – this could be due to legislation involving abortion and euthanasia, etc. (Mentioned above) There could be much criticisms by the people about the quality of health care and education.

There could be much double dealing between the political parties (by this I mean Republicans voting on traditionally liberal issues and vice versa), and a class struggle could be apparent in dealings within congress. The government including congress should be very strong. Yet congress could face much opposition to many of its propositions, no doubt from the White House. The debt of the USA will continue to increase and inflation will continue to rise. The passage of an unpopular tax maybe near. When this taxation bill is passed it will negatively affect the stock market, and there could be much criticisms of the government by the people.  There could be many changes in the president's cabinet and politics will be in general will disturbed, with much criticisms between the parties.

The health of the nation will begin to suffer due to the passage of the tax bill and the continued high rate of spending of the government because of the war and other projects. The people will continue to be dissatisfied with the performance of their elected officials. Legislation regarding women perhaps abortion may cause a great fuss (probably due to religious reasons as mentioned above). There could be some sudden or unexpected trouble for the government or the president, perhaps due to an incorrect calculation on their part (probably with regard to foreign affairs).

Society will be plagued with much crime and some Leo statesmen or high ranking government official may die or become ill. There will be broken promises on the part of our elected officials.  There could be some sort of trouble affecting the president that will upset the entire country, and perhaps through this congress will advocate many changes.  Some  government officials may resign. A big government scandal comes to light perhaps overspending or another scandal involving children. The country and nation will lose its identity in a way. Crude prices should head up around this time as the summer traveling season is approaching.

Cancer ingress 2007 (21 June 2007 to 23 September 2007 )

The president will be strong at this time. This should be a good time for trade. The president may make an important trip at this time – probably for diplomacy. The country will have fortunate relations with foreign countries.  There may be engagements or marriages within the presidential family.

The USA will continue to be plagued by  crime.  The people of the country especially retirees and the elderly will not be happy with the progress of their government – this would probably due to issues of the high cost of health care, retirement benefits, and social security. There could be a terrorist plot against the country around this time so the government must be prepared for this.  There is a possible signing of an important treaty or other issue of major importance to the country. The problem of war will be difficult to settle. Congress could gain popularity through some tax reform. The parties will agree on some new legislation. There will be much hostility directed towards the president – even though he will be  strong, he could face attacks form his own party.

The country will be feeling like going to war as the issue to solving the war will prove difficult so perhaps the country will chose to increase deployments to Iraq. The people may not be happy with this, but there might be no other solution.  There might be a definite escalation in the war at this time.  It will be as though the promise of the democrats has swindled the people who voted for them. Education and science will benefit though the president could be against it. Maybe stem cell research or some educational reform will pass at this time, yet the president may be against it on the grounds that it will only increase the debt, or that it is contrary to the country's “religious values”.

There will be problems in congress regarding religion perhaps again due to proposed legislation – the secularists will prevail. In a way the government is seeking plutocratic control over the people and as usual the congress will serve the needs of corporate interests first. The debt will in fact go up and also  unemployment will begin to rise. It would seem that congress will not be able to control federal spending – between its own projects and the war spending. Congress may be way to ambitious! Stock market should be down. Maltreatment or plight  of women may be in the news. It will not be a prosperous time for business.  The military will be strengthened! The people could be upset by this.  Bankruptcies will increase at this time. This summer will mark a sudden turn downwards in the financial health of the country!

Libra Ingress 2007 (23 September 2007 to 22 December 2007)

The government will suffer losses and will seem weak during the autumn of 2007. There will be much trouble to the president politically, perhaps more trouble through the prison scandal – perhaps it will come to light that the president authorized torture at Abu Ghraib. Reform of health care is possible at this time. Relations with foreign countries will be poor. Continued crimes involving women and children.

There will be much trouble between the classes. High government spending. The stock market will be performing poorly and should swing wildly. Possibility of congress placing a tariff on Chinese imports – in an effort to lessen the trade deficit. Financial trouble through foreign countries perhaps those that buy our bonds? Perhaps a major devaluation in the US dollar. There will be a poor quality of family life within the country.  There will be much infidelity and loose morality in American society in general. There could be new military regulations and campaigns by the military. The military will be successful!  

There will not be many obstacles due to the democratic majority though there will be much disagreement over legislation so the parties will probably have to compromise. Unexpected problems for the government. There may be strikes at this time.  Maybe another government shutdown as happened during the Clinton years. Possibility of narrow thinking by the president or congress. There could be accidents affecting shipping, storms, loss of life on the coastal areas of the United States. There could be the deaths of important legal, scientific, religious people.

This autumn will be a time of national power struggles perhaps between the parties to set the legal tone for the country. The country's health could be poor. Oil prices could continue increasing. It will be a time of much scandal and crime. Business and commerce will be performing poorly.  Revenue of the country will be down. Taxation will increase  and some big bankruptcies may take place. Churches will be unfortunate and they may be affected by legislation in some negative way. Congress may continue to be over ambitious perhaps in a race to win the White House. Unemployment should rise at this time. The Democrat controlled congress may be embarrassed by the results of its actions. The people  may be very unhappy with this and there could even be a rise of discontent and low morale within the military. There will be much frustration because the changes that the people feel that need to be made will not be made – broken promises.

Capricorn Ingress 2007 (22 December 2007 to 20 March 2008)

There will be much unpopularity of the congress and the president.  Much religious discord and criticisms of religion and government (mentioned above).  Bad decisions by the government. Continued  overspending by the government and individuals. Financial problems with foreign countries and loose morality. Problems through shipping and long distance travel. People will be very unhappy with the lot of their lives. Riots and public outrages and act of desperation will be on the rise. Temporary rise in stocks is possible at this time, but then should continue downwards. Danger of poor administration of the country by the government – possibly due to  a refusal to compromise.  The country will suffer much loss of its prestige around the world. There will be much crime and disorder within the country.  There will be great changes advocated by activists groups and non-centrist members of congress. Death and resignation of members  of the cabinet. There seems to be much difficulty with and much angst centered around the president.
