New Moon for 28 October 2008 (Special Report)

This month I will be taking a departure from my usual New Moon postings.

I feel that the country and the world as a whole are very interested in the outcome of the November US Presidential Election.

On 28 February 2008 I posted my USA and World predictions for the 2008 to 2009 astrological year. This "year" is the time that spans the spring equinox of 2008 to the day before the spring equinox of 2009.

During this time (February of 2008), both parties had many candidates vying for their party's nominations. Although Obama was gaining in popularity he was still in the shadow of Hillary Clinton who at the time seemed favored to win the Democratic Nomination. The Republican Party's top candidates seemed to be Huckabee and Romney.

At the time of my analysis of the 2008-2009 chart for the USA I felt that Obama would win the November election.

I continue to maintain that my astrological analysis shows that Senator Barack Obama will be elected the next president of the United States.

The astrological trend is pointing towards a shift in the mentality of the American electorate. I feel that the American people have become infused by a new sense of pride and hope in their country. This sense of pride has its focus with Obama and it is was born due to many Americans frustration and dismay with the status quo.

I would say the the electorate doesn't feel that their government reflects their attitudes and doesn't serve as a proxy for them as it should in a republic. This frustration is also pointed at many democrats in office as well. Yet I feel that the people will vote for sweeping change. The country has become revolutionary again - much like the early colonists who sought independence from England.  Expect Obama to win, and expect the strong possibility of complete Democratic Party control in Congress.   

Keep in mind that with every revoltuion there are those that do not want change. In this case I would venture that it is corporate America and the upper class. The problem at this point is that both of these groups are hurting badly, and in my opinion these economic woes will continue for some time longer - this is a burden for which Obama will have to find a solution - If he should infact be elected president.

Interestingly, I feel that many in this country and around the world want to see a strong America again. It would seem that the people have grown tired of the financial abuse by large institutions and unfair taxation. I believe that a lot of people around the world want to see an America that is a military and financial power but one that is not imperialist or tries to impose its form of democracy or even its business enterprises around the world. Many wish to see America rise to be that stabilizing force in the world.

This New Moon shows that the citizens of the USA have great fear about what is on the way. They fear for the reputation and finances of their country. In a way they are right to be afraid. In the end the average american just wants to work, have a family,  enjoy a good ballgame and feel secure about their lot in the world. They are tired of the fear which has plagued this country and the world for at least eight years now.

I believe that one of the most important things a person has besides faith and integrity is hope. The hope for change, the hope for a better life, the hope for peace. Once there is no more hope all is lost. A lot of hope now rests on Obama. Not just from his country but from the entire world - it just remains to be seen - should he indeed win - whether he can live up to all of his promises or our expectations...
